Elder-Care FAQs

How do you work with elder-care cases?
We listen to each family member and design a process best suited to the unique needs of each family. Variables include the number of people in the family, how far apart people live, and the details of the situation

What sets you apart from others providing these services?
Conflict resolution is our area of professional expertise, not a sideline. Additionally our staff has over 100 hours of training in conflict management and we have experience working with families, health care facilities, and social agencies.

To what extent are elders themselves involved in the process?
While this is something that we assess in each situation, we prefer to have the elder involved in the conversation that affects them so directly. We also understand that there are circumstances where this is not feasible.

Helens family members had always had a good rapport with the original group of home health workers who cared for her. However, they never felt as comfortable with the newer group. A facilitated meeting helped all parties break the ice and begin friendly and effective working relationships.
