After the sudden death of his father, Bill felt a variety of emotions: grief over the death, pressure to take over the family business, and the burden of dividing the estate. While his father had made a verbal commitment to give a parcel of land to one of his sisters, they could not agree upon a location. Their arguments turned bitter and rift developed in the family. Mediation helped the family work through its tensions and develop a plan to move forward.
